Half Way

First of all, Happy Birthday to my eldest sister!
Tamatlah peperiksaan akhir semester! Right now I am in Ipoh for 1 week of semester break. I sat for 7 papers in 5 days. All the papers were no easy meat. For the whole week, I slept at 3am and woke up at 7 to study and also to get ready for the morning papers. Glad that it is now over.
Bercakap pasal peperiksaan, I earned the reputation among my classmates to be the last one at the very last minute to enter the examination hall! I see no reason for me to arrive for the exam so early. So many students packing the concourse area and it is very noisy. From the 3rd until the 7th paper, I reached the lecture complex (Proton City) 10 minutes before the exams started. By the time I walked to the hall, I only have about 5 minutes left because I parked my car far away and all 2500 students were sitting for the Finals simultaneously. Some of the invigilators tak syok dengan gua kerana tak datang awal. One of them was really rude to me when asking why I came so late. I was agitated by his attitude and goreng him back by saying it is not even time yet to start the exam jadi apa dia kisah. Fuyohh! He was left speechless and my classmates smiled because they know I will not keep quiet if people are stepping on my head. This is the REAL me. But I understand why the invigilators were so restless to see me come late. Because, I still have to fill in my particulars in the OMR paper and it usually takes about 6-8 minutes to complete it. Tapi gua peduli apa? Suka hati gua lar nak datang pada minit-minit terakhir.
The security guards at the Proton City are my good friends. We always chat on a lot of topics whenever I have breaks in between 2 classes in this semester. One of them always manned the West Wing of the complex and that was the place I used to enter during the examination week. He saw me came almost right on the dot and asked whether it is late. I politely answered him that “Masih ada masa lagi. Biar lambat sampai, janji selamat tiba”. We laughed as we walked together to the concourse area.
Into the examination, I cannot say how I will fare for this semester because the questions for most of the 7 papers were very difficult and we had torrid time cracking our heads to think of the answers. Gua rasa gua kini berada pada keadaan genting untuk sekurang-kurangnya dua kertas ujian kerana ia amat sukar dan betul-betul mencabar kesabaran. Takde gred A pun takpe. Janji lulus pun gua dah gembira. Last time at UTAR, I brought all the notes prior to the exam before I entered the hall. But at UPSI, there is no such thing for me. I only brought my examination slip, matric card, pens and pencils from my house to the examination hall. Most of the students also did the same.
Semester 2 starts on 2nd November and I am not looking forward to it yet. I am more concerned over my practicum which is due to start on 1st March 2010. I really hope I can do my practicum in Ipoh and the most preferred choice of school is none other than my alma mater = Anderson School. Second choice would be St Michael and followed by Sam Tet (a lot of pretty girls from AMC studying there for Form 6..hehe). Now I am working on my application to get the school that I wanted. Not only me but all of us in the programme are busy to get the job done as soon as possible. I missed all the teachers there especially Puan Lau (Kanchana said Fong Yew and I made Puan Lau cried last time in Form 6..hehe) because she is very committed and good to me. The scariest part was that she knew my father long time (in the mid-90s) before she became my Pengajian Am teacher in 2004. Hopefully all of my favourite teachers still remember me! Haha
My housemate (Mei Yi) from Bidor followed me back by car after the last paper today. I fetched her back because the bus tickets to Bidor were sold out. Afterall, to go back Ipoh, I will pass by Bidor. We are good friends since the day we met each other for orientation at UPSI. In fact, she helped me to get the house that I am currently living in with her and three other girls. I respect her because she has an excellent academic achievement from SPM until Degree in UM. In fact, she quitted her job that pays her very well just to come to UPSI. Before we left the house, I cheekily told Rayne (another housemate of mine) that “Mei Yi memang berani ikut saya balik dengan kereta. She does not know that many girls went missing when they tumpang my kereta!”. Rayne laughed when she heard that and jokingly warned Mei Yi to be careful of me but Mei Yi brushed it off by saying “He is just a small boy! He can do nothing to me!” Wth! I am a small boy? Still a small boy arr? Rayne gave two nicknames to Mei Yi = Beautiful Fish and Little Girl because she is beautiful and can still behave like a small girl that can scream and shout in the house for no reason. Bidor is situated right in between Ipoh and Tanjung Malim. The distance between Ipoh and Tanjung Malim is 120km. That means Bidor is at the KM60 mark.
Currently I am following TVB 2009 Blockbuster Drama “Born Rich” crazily. This is Gallen Lo’s first blockbuster-status drama since Golden Faith in 2002. Born Rich could well be Gallen’s final drama at TVB. Therefore, I am more addicted to the drama. He is my all-time favourite TVB actor and is the undisputed TVB Drama King as 3-time Best Actor Award winner in TVB Anniversary Awards. Only 5 episodes were aired in Hong Kong and Malaysia. 36 more to go. There is another blockbuster drama “Beyond The Realm of Conscience” (where Tavia Yeung is in a breakthrough role as a villain that well-scripted for her to land to coveted Best Actress Award in the upcoming Anniversary Awards on December) but I am not interested to it at all although I might watch it next time. My attention is fully on “Born Rich”. I love all the episodes so far. The themesong of “Born Rich” is performed by Gallen Lo and I like it for its lyrics and melody. Having said that, I must say here that Gallen Lo is always my all-time favourite TVB actor and singer. Raymond Lam? Itu milik Siew Meyy punya. I like to see Raymond Lam too but Gallen is the top priority because of his excellent acting and singing skills. I dun have the luxury like what Siew Meyy has in Astro On Demand where she can watch directly “Born Rich” and “Beyond The Realm of Conscience” when both dramas are broadcasted simultaneously in Malaysia and Hong Kong. I can only download all the episodes two hours after it ended (around 12am or 1am) then only I can watch. Currently I am downloading “Born Rich” in the HD-DVD version because I want to keep it as my collection. Oh yeah! I will be doing the full review for this “Born Rich” in my blog and will release it 2 weeks after it ends in December.
