The record of going back Ipoh every week for the 4th consecutive time since the H1N1″forced holiday” ends this weekend. Yes! That means I am in Ipoh now! hehe..But the earlier sentence means the hot streak of going back hometown is reaching its nadir. Next weekend, I’ll be staying put in Tanjung Malim to pace myself well ahead of the upcoming Hari Raya holidays in the following week.
I reached Ipoh at 12.50am just now via KTM with Chia Wen. She boarded the same train at 9.45pm in KL Sentral and by 11.10pm, it reached Tanjung Malim station. We sat together because I told her my seat number and she got hers next to me when she bought her ticket at 2pm. Earlier of the week, she came to visit me and my housemates praised her as a beautiful girl. They thought she is my girlfriend because of her style talking and playing with me in the house. Miss Wee, in her usual naughty behavior, mentioned to them that I never listed her as my potential candidate as a girlfriend because the position is held by Siew Meyy. She asked them to be patient because she said I will be bringing Siew Meyy to Tanjung Malim very soon.
Let’s arrange what I did for the past week that started on Merdeka Eve. Yes! I was in Ipoh on that week too.
1. Went out with Khai Wan on 29th August
2. Jennifer wanted to “kill” me on 31st August
3. Chia Wen “gatecrashed” me in Tanjung Malim on 1st September
4. The dual-event that I chaired and organized on 4th September
1. Went out with Khai Wan on 29th August
For the first time since end of May, I met the beautiful Miss Lee again. I never thought of seeing her again because she is always busy with her workloads, friends and activities. This feeling was compounded due to the fact that I am no longer in KL and I never harbour any hopes of going out with her maybe until CNY next year. I quitted my GSC job and went to UPSI without her knowledge. Usually if there is anything special I am doing or encountering, I will definitely share with her, Siew Meyy and Chia Wen on the spot. I texted and called her on mid-June to let her know. She did not answer or reply. So I guessed she must be very busy and I decided not to disturb her anymore. I did not have any contact with her for the next two months until the last week of August, she messaged me saying I am not friend enough of not letting her know that I left GSC and is in Tanjung Malim. On the very same weekend, we went out together in Jusco as she was in Ipoh too for her short holiday. Lama tak jumpa Miss Lee ini. She is as always beautiful and mesmerizing. Top notch elegance. I did not talk much to her because I can feel the communication gap between us is widening and I ran out of chatting topics. For some reasons, I always dare not really look into her when we are talking. Not to say I did not look at her lar but it is just that I will keep it at minimum. Let’s see when is the next time I can see my elegant daughter again.
2. Jennifer wanted to “kill” me on 31st August
It all started because of her Facebook Wall. She wrote there she was in Ipoh and enjoyed her badminton session. Gua yang gatal buntut tu perli dan cabar dia untuk satu perlawanan dan kemudian menonton filem UP bersama in Jusco. She took up the badminton challenge and movie invitation. With no confirmation on that matter, she told me that she will call and text me. Mana tahu, my handphone buat hal and cannot be turned on! She was really agitated and angry when she could not reach me on the phone. Dia melepaskan kegeraman dan kemarahan terhadap gua pada Facebooknya..hehe..I felt bad for unable to reply her calls and messages because, in the first place, I also dunno if anyone tried to reach me on the phone. Mana tahu, ada seekor beruk tu nak jadi wirawati dan menyibuk dalam hal gua dengan Jennifer. I was not angry dengan gelagat beruk itu yang cuba tunjuk pandai. Instead, I was in a happy mood to goreng the beruk. Gua tak faham kenapa beruk tu nak kacau daun padahal gua tidak memijak ekor beruk tu. Tapi lantak lar si beruk tu. I know Jennifer is a type of girl that is forever happy and will not marah me if I let her know the actual cause of my no-show! hehe..Afterall, we always sembang on MSN about many crazy topics. I got to know her at UTAR although both of us are budak Ipoh. Since then, I am comfortable to have her as a friend although sometimes I am quite blunt on my views about certain topics that I shared with her. She is a good listener and I love the fact that she is someone speaks her mind without hesitation. Sorry arr, Jennifer for the FFK! hehe..I will redeem myself during the Hari Raya holidays if you are in Ipoh!

3. Chia Wen “gatecrashed” me in Tanjung Malim on 1st September
She came to Tanjung Malim at 3pm after completing her task in Kuala Kubu Bharu for Bank Negara Malaysia. She was lucky that I just reached my house after a long discussion with my coursemates on the upcoming tri-events. Otherwise, she will have to wait until I come back. She was in my place until 7pm. So I brought her to the Pasar Ramadhan and we bought a lot of yummylicious foods. We spent about half an hour “touring” all the stalls. She and my housemates are now like best friends because they are all fashion freak browsing the Internet for nice dress. For nothing, I became their orang gaji to clean up the dining table because Chia Wen taught them about technology and talking bad about me..hehe
eee
4. The dual-event that I chaired and organized on 4th September
Only two events for this week and the remaining one will be conducted on next Friday. I was happy that both events proceeded smoothly under my leadership. I want to say thank you to all of my committee members for pulling off a great performance for our classmates (their roles are as event participants) and also the lecturer (the evaluator). The preparation for this two events was not without obstacles and we were in the lurch as setbacks cropped up just days before the actual day. Fortunately, we managed to weather it and beautifully came up with new and refreshing ideas thus changing the theme of our events 360 degrees but to great effect. I felt myself was appreciated because all of them always sought for my ideas and approvals before passing a resolution on the do’s and dont’s for the events. I never had this honour when I was at UTAR because I was merely someone with no significant role to contribute there as everyone back then scrambling for cheap glory and publicity. I admitted some of them are indeed talented but their behaviours left us much to ponder about! I used what I have learnt while working part-time as an event organiser for Siew Meyy for this dual-events. All PR, advertising and promotional activities were based from my working experience and not what I obtained from UTAR. Linda was my able deputy for her neverending effort to ensure the dual-event progress without a hitch. The same gratitude goes to Mazni (the secretary) too for her spot-on ideas and suggestions to make the events lively and entertaining. Not to forget, the other members for their commitments and hard work. I love all the banners, posters, prizes and activities planned out by our group. It was an overwhelming success. The theme for our event is 1Malaysia : Robohkan Tembok Perkauman (as you can see in my Facebook photos) to commemorate our nation’s 52nd National Day. The first event was a forum and my simulation role was as one of the panels discussing about unity and the meaning of independence. The second event was the poster-drawing competition on National Day and the most creative cheering team based on the theme of national unity. During my opening speech as the Chairman for the dual-events, I was shocked that Mazni used one of my “ugly” Facebook photos for the PowerPoint slide for the projector . My classmates laughed non-stop at the photo..hehe..She is really naughty and her nickname is CowGirl because she loves to wear the cowboy hat whenever the opportunities are there.
THE OUTCOME : Both events were of great successes and all of my classmates who came as the participants praised my team for the brilliant ideas plus lively atmosphere. But what is important is the final marks to be given by the lecturer. Hopefully, we can get high marks. I am more happy that this dual-events met its objectives to instill patriotisme, debating on national unity and getting the classmates to use their creativities as a form of expression on independence via the poster competition.
