LOS DAN FAUN’S FULL REVIEW!!!!!

P/S #1 : This is the last post on myself until the first week of October 2008 as the next one would be the full review of TVB 2006 Dicey Business. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Happy 23rd Birthday to the most beautiful, most intelligent, most capable and most gifted girl I have as friend = Alyssa Chin Siew Meyy. Her birthday is on 27th September.

This is definitely not the last post you will ever read on Los dan Faun. Set to be released in cinema nationwide on 4th December 2008, Los dan Faun is yet another brainchild of the brilliant Afdlin Shauki. Previously, the tagline for this movie was Filem Paling Biol 2008. Now it is known as Filem Afdlin Shauki Paling Sewel Tahun 2008. Coupled with the sub-tagline Hilang Akal Aie Dia Orang Tak Boleh Cari, this is definitely the most anticipated local movie. Afdlin is merely making a cameo in this movie as he is concentrating more on the directorial part. Afdlin’s previous effort of Sumolah while was brilliant nevertheless it did not do well in box-office collection due to wrong timing of release. Sumolah was badly compromised by Spiderman 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean : At World’s End in 2007.

It is not too early to expect yet another brilliant masterpiece from Afdlin “Chief Kodok” Shauki in Los dan Faun. This movie was completed long time ago only waited for approval from the authorities. Afdlin never disappoints movie-goers with his skilful storytelling, precise directing and wonderful acting. Afterall, all of his movies touched on Malaysians in general. To date, my most favourite movie by Afdlin is still the hillarious Baik Punya Cilok. Here, i would like to present the movie trailer for Los dan Faun. Again, my most favourite movie trailer is also from Baik Punya Cilok. Nevertheless, this trailer for Afdlin’s latest effort is quite creative and leaned towards the Hollywood style of showcasing trailer. Check out all the words used by the actors in the trailer. It was hillarious as usual.

Since Afdlin in his SelambaKodok’s House Blogspot asked for his fans to spread the news on his latest movie, I will definitely pass the message to all my blog readers. Hopefully, some of them will watch this movie to support local film industry. I was happy when I successfully influenced Debbie and Jagan to watch Sumolah after my aggressive promotion of it in my Friendster blog and bulletins. Emily, Tai Ming, Daphne and Aaron also watched Sumolah in cinemas but i am not sure whether it was because of my word of mouth promoting the movie. One thing for sure, the geng of Chia Wen, Siew Meyy and Amirah all did watched the movie in cinema after Chia Wen’s birthday on 12th May 2007 even without my influence because they indeed can watch Malaysian movies in cinemas!..haha..I am confident my Malay friends will not give this latest venture of Afdlin, Los dan Faun, a miss. At least, Azrisham, Khairul Azrin and others will be thronging the cinemas with their girlfriends and troops of friends to support Afdlin.

I will definitely watch Los dan Faun come this December. I have made it a point to watch Afdlin’s movies in cinemas. I do not mind to be one of the very few Chinese to watch Malay (Oops! I should say MALAYSIAN) movies in cinema. We need to breakthrough this barrier of racisme and show the world that Malaysia is for Malaysians! Check out the movie trailer in this post! Nell Ng was funny in the final part of it. Hans was asking her “Cik hilang apa?”. She replied, “Saya sudah hilang…SABAR!” haha..

What are you waiting for? Mark 4th December in your calendar as your date with the cinema. Let’s storm into the cinema to support Filem Afdlin Shauki Paling Sewel Tahun 2008. It is time to turn the cinema upside down to celebrate Afdlin’s upcoming movie! Kita kasi pecah lar!
